Main ad film and multiple digital posters were created to be used globally across landing pages, events and sales presentations. The launch took place at the Paris Retail Week and paid advertising was used to target key industry decision-makers.
Challenge
Banking as a Service (BaaS) is a new concept that helps non-financial brands embed banking services in their applications. Starling Bank wanted help to communicate this message in a fun and non-patronising way.

There are so many questions that brands have about BaaS. The strategy was to create a fun Q&A ad that answers the 8 main questions.

Execution
Ekstasy created an ad film under a minute long, which was fun and fast paced. The voice over answers the questions of 8 different key decision-makers ranging from different departments such as finance, IT, strategy, marketing and others. Ekstasy also came up with the idea of turning BaaS into SaaS (Starling as a Service) just like Intel did with “Intel Inside”. SaaS has now been trademarked.
